在眾多的天然水草之中、能快速製造大量氧氣泡的水草，非珍珠草莫屬了，珍珠草生長的速度會因環境而不同，如果環境好、光照又充足，珍珠草會快速成長、而且會向四周延展生長，長著長著會像一顆球狀的水草，再大下去就會整顆漂起來，因為珍珠草是淺根水草，當整株水草的體積過大時、葉片又含有大量的氧氣泡，自然而然就會拔地而起、漂在水面上。我們會把珍珠草分成兩叢、再種回原位，讓整球漂亮的珍珠草完好如初、根基也更勞固。
