青、紅蝴蝶在水草種植難度中是第三級(最難)，一般需用好一點的黑土種植(日本原裝的最好)，再加底肥或根肥、三不五時還要下重肥(叫作追肥)，尤其是鐵肥、德國進口的最佳，就算是如此用力、也不見得長的漂亮，一不小心照樣瓦解、掛掉。我們的生態水草(不用換水)、因為環境穩定，不用黑土、少量液肥、不用強光，青、紅蝴蝶一樣長的超級漂亮，尤其是青蝴蝶、紅的有些誇張，長的高度已經超過造景的比例、也捨不得修剪。我們的紅柳也是超水準的漂亮，這幾種紅色系的水草，可以大大提高水草造景的價值。
